Organic cultivation in environmental respect
Nature has long created the ideal land and climate here for grape cultivation, a practice dating back to Roman times in this area, evidenced by numerous archaeological findings.
We are in Val Tidone, one of the four valleys that distinguish the hills of Piacenza, precisely at the far western edge of Emilia Romagna, bordering Lombardy, Piedmont, and Liguria.
The vineyards of Torre Fornello cover an area of 62 hectares at an altitude of 220 meters above sea level.
Torre Fornello's vineyards employ controlled ground cover, inducing natural competition among the vines, resulting in lower yields in favor of better quality. Pest control treatments follow an organic discipline, respecting and safeguarding the surrounding environment and health.
