The aim of the 'Fermenti Naturali' project, from 2001 to the present day, has been multifaceted: on one hand, to stimulate reflection among established artists in the world of contemporary art and promote the exploration of younger artists on themes dear to the company, such as wine, the transformation of nature by humans, the history of the place, the pleasure of the senses, and the forms and mysteries of nature.
On the other hand, it aimed to create a permanent collection of works 'in dialogue' with the spaces of Torre Fornello.
The artists invited to participate, chosen by critics occasionally selected as curators of the exhibition, were required to include both a 'master' and a 'young emerging artist' whose works exhibited a line of continuity or analogy. Furthermore, each piece had to be created using natural materials (wood, paper, iron, stone, water, etc.).
